How is it that I am a fourth year student, about to graduate, and I have just been assigned my first ever ten page paper? In the freshmen class I am taking for the easy grade, no less. Does this professor seriously want to read over three hundred and fifty pages of freshmen writing? Really? I’m pretty sure everyone knows that the quality is going to drop off around page five, seven if you’re lucky, and the rest will just be writing anything you can to bring the page number up. I’d imagine that’s why most professors assign five to seven page papers. And these are freshmen for crying out loud. Their papers aren’t going to be that good. They haven’t been doing this for very long.
Sheesh. I should be a professor.
Time to quit whining and start writing.
